• May 10th in Oakland

Class Description:

Using traditional Japanese tools, designer Melanie Abrantes will lead students in hand carving their own wooden bowl.  

All levels, no experience needed.

Provided in class:

• Wood Bowl Blank
• Japanese Bowl Gouge
• Japanese Straight Chisel
• Carving Knife
• Shinto Rasp
• Sandpaper and Wood Butter
• Handwritten Instructions
• Snacks and Drinks (Lunch Not Included)

Limited seats and parking are available. Please try to arrive 15 mins before the class begins.

When: 12-4pm (with 15 minute break around 2pm)

Where: Brooklyn Basin Park in Oakland, CA 94606 (exact location of where in park will be emailed week of)

The workshop will be outside unless chance of rain, we will relocate indoors at Melanie Abrantes Designs' Studio in Oakland.
