Absorbent, flexible booms that can be linked together and overlapped to prevent pass through using the hook and loops provided That's easily enough to completely surround a 40ft boat. The absorbent polypropylene core is retained by an inner sock which prevents loss into the surrounding environment. The outer net adds additional resistance and strength including a tough nylon rope which runs the lengths of the boom to aid in recovery. Each of these booms will absorb up to 25 litres of oil (up to 100L in total) but will repel water so can be floated around an affecting vessel to take up the floating hydrocarbons until the leak can be stopped. If any of the booms are not used, simply shake off the surface water and put them away ready for next time.
