This is a belt tensioner compatible with the TAIG 5019 desktop mill.
The mill use a belt and pulley system to transmit power from the motor to the spindle. Tensioning of the drive belt is traditionally performed by pushing the motor away from the spindle and tightening the tension screw. The tension screw must be loosened and tightened during every spindle speed change. The stock tensioning system does not ensure proper or repeatable tensioning of the belt and makes changing speeds cumbersome.
