Artist Statement:

Truchet Tiles are a design technique of taking quarter arcs and rotating it four times. For a grid of squares, select one tile from the four and place it in the square, repeating until all squares are filled. The resulting designs become devilishly complex for small squares, to truly large squares where arcs dominate the page. The abstract nature of the works resemble transit maps or rugs.
