Oberflacht handcraft one-of-a-kind beeswax candles from their workshop in the Black Forest, blending traditional techniques with a strikingly modern design direction. Named in tribute to the site of a 6^th century burial ground where some of the oldest conserved beeswax candles were discovered, these colourful creations slowly change form as they burn, bringing light and soothing the soul.

Care Instructions

Please note: This handcrafted wax object should never
be placed on warm surfaces. When using it with burning candles please never let the candles burn down completely and never leave this object unattended. Liquid wax from leaking candles can be easily removed from the object’s surface once it has cooled down.

Materials

The candles are 80 per cent beeswax, 20 per cent paraffin, and are handmade in the Black Forest exclusively for Oberflacht. Please note that irregularities in shape, colour, size and weight and a grey tinge are typical characteristics of handcrafting beeswax.
