An unusual Afghan Loribaft carpet with bold blocks of contrasting colour makes for a traditionally made rug with a great modern twist. There is a real patchwork feel to the decorative style, the blocks of decorated colour being different shapes and sizes. The blocks of colour are a mix of orange, red, dark blue, green, yellow, blue, cream, burgundy and bright red. In addition, there is a wide cream/oatmeal border.

Afghan handmade carpets are becoming very well regarded. Other rugs are produced, like the Samarkand carpets, with an unusual bobbin wind on the warps.
