The LO206 class is one of the most affordable and competitive classes in karting. The LO206 engine is reliable and the maintenance is straight forward. Horsepower is around 9 bhp depending on dyno and air quality, making it a good entry level karting engine.

LO206 Documentation
Compression ratio is less than 9:1 so regular pump gas (non-ethanol only) works fine with this engine. Factory timing is 29 degrees BTDC. 8.8 hp / 10 ft lbs torque, max 6100 rpm.
