Multi-purpose Diffuser Brace And Panel Delete Collection [VDMHCfat]

This is a great addition to the Elise, Exige, and 211. We include this part with the BOE Clamhinge. It takes the place of the rear panel which helps to “add lightness" to the car and allow for heat to escape the exhaust area. Further, it allows the use of many aftermarket above diffuser exhaust systems and significantly reduces the amount of time to remove the rear clam.

Rear clam removal time is reduced because the diffuser brace secures the diffuser properly to the frame where Lotus connects the diffuser to the rear clam. This means the diffuser can stay completely attached to the car during clam removal. That is not possible in the stock configuration.

Construction is lightweight aluminum with black powder coat. Consistency is retained with CNC cutting and bending of the part. We have installed “riv-nuts" in each attachment point for the licence plate and diffuser for hassel-free service of the car in the future.

Our panel is not compatible with the stock Lotus exhausts, but is compatible with most aftermarket exhausts. If your muffler is larger than 6.5" OD, or protrudes rearward or upward after attaching to the headpipe u-bend, it may not fit with our panel.
