Santiago Atitlan Woman's Huipil --- Hand embroidered Birds and flowers around the neck of this Santiago Atitlan Huipil. Lavendar base material hand-woven on backstrap loom with darker rose vertical stripes. Sides seams are closed with pleats that make illusion of "sleeves". Two bottom panels have selvage finish, others are hemmed. Small embroidered flowers around neck.
Condition: Moderately good used condition. The huipil shows some wear, a few loose threads and light spotting.
Huipil Dimensions:
- Width: 21 - 25 inches
- Length: 25 inches
- Neck: 9 inches wide by 4 inches deep. Fits over my 22" head, but would need to open armholes if I was to wear
