On this remarkable day in spring, the world seemed to pause as I watched nature reveal this captivating scene infront of me. This stunning, massive red roan stallion had won the heart of his first mare. Their bond was already so strong. Oftentimes when a young mare has left her herd for the first time, they are quite restless and carry a bit of anxiety, looking to return to their family and mothers side. She was extremely content, quiet and seemed very much settled into her new beginnings with this incredibly handsome stallion. 

Positioned behind a protective mountain, I spent a captivating afternoon immersed in the world of these majestic beings. While the stallion valiantly fended off the advances of other interested suitors, his primary focus remained on ensuring the safety and proximity of his new mare. Their connection shared with us a snapshot, a moment in time of the unfolding of spring and new beginnings.
