the beautiful colors of the desert muted by an overcast day.  i love the different ways light can effect the way we see our natural surroundings.

painting nature or memories of places brings such a connection to our beautiful world. brekke’s training in photography allows her the ability to create countless reference photos to paint from. inspiration is found in the light and shapes and relationships of nature. building layers on layers of watercolor is a soothing process that comes through in her work.  currently living in utah with her husband and three kids, but finding inspiration wherever she is.
