Premium Quality Zinnia Silhouette: Vintage Blueprint Best Choice [GLro2xaq]

The Zinnia Silhouette Collection really happened a bit by accident, because as I was starting to paint a collection of colorful zinnia paintings, my Instagram followers kept mentioning how much they loved the initial painted sketches on the canvases before I started layering on the color!

I got to thinking about how I would paint the pieces if the sketch WAS the painting, what things I might do differently or what details I might add and that is how the Zinnia Silhouettes were born!  I've loved dreaming up the various color combinations and the painting of each one has been a joy!

This blue version is inspired by vintage blueprints!  The blues were mixed to mimic the blues on various antique blueprints, keeping the center of the piece a bit brighter and more 'midnight blue', while a bit darker around the edges to give it an aged feel.  The yellow-y white of the florals was modeled after the aged print on those same old blueprints.  I love the slightly antique feel to the coloring on this one, while the painting is still very modern and current!  The blue is rich and moody has a bit of variety and interest, rather than being all one-note.

Canvas size: 16" x 20" x 1.5"

Painted on 1-1/2" deep edge, gallery profile canvas. Edges are fully painted so framing isn't necessary.

Painting is signed in gold on front as well as signed and dated on the back.
