Another favorite tradition in the McVey household is our annual planting of amaryllis and paperwhites bulbs, and forcing them indoors.  It's such a treat to be able to watch something grow and thrive and BLOOM during the winter months when everything is so cold and gray outside!  And there's just something about that gorgeous pop of color in the house once they bloom!

So, as I was thinking about my favorite holiday and winter florals to paint, I had to include amaryllis!  Whether you grow them at your house, too, or whether you struggle to keep green things alive ;), you can enjoy these beauties with zero effort and the best part is that you can pull them out and enjoy them again year after year!
