They come in small size and seem to have been designed for children's hands. They are finely carved and beautifully hand painted. They have fabric bodies with some lovely small wooden hands and legs. They are from German origin, likely made in the early 1900s. They have solid structure and display well, but they show play wear, gained during their many years of life. However their imperfections only give them an added layer of charm and personality. This great piece of history will certainly be a special addition to any antique toy or theater collection!
