He was skilfully hand crafted in Germany, circa 1960s and is 19in tall. His expression is endearing and he moves with grace. His face is hand carved and beautifully hand painted. His hands and feet are also carved wood and he is meticulously dressed. He has animal fur hair and leather sandals. The wooden control bar separates to allow more precise manipulation of the legs. This marionette has aged consistently and is fully functional. It displays very well and will be a great addition to any vintage toy collection!
