The world of Steiff creations is vast and no species are left behind. Along with the most known bears, cats and dogs, the company also developed some uncommon character like this Penguin hand puppet. This handsome toy was finely handcrafted in Germany between 1967-1976 and uses the nicest mohair plush. Its deep and lustrous quality is hard to capture in pictures. Penguin has an amazing presence with expressive googly eyes, a colorful felt beak and two amusing wings. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a plastic finger tube for movement. Little Penguin has been gently but has lost its IDs. This playful little bird puppet will certainly be a nice addition to any vintage toy collection.
