All-in-one Steiff Young Lion Hand Puppet ~ 1950-60s Rare! In Multiple Colors [n5Sps4v3]

Steiff has made some of the nicest forest animals in the market and this Young Lion hand puppet certainly honors the reputation. Its sweet look with expressive glass eyes is adorable! The nice airbrushing work gives this character an amazing distressed look that everyone adores. It has nylon whiskers and the nose/mouth is embroidered. As other Steiff toys of the time, this puppet was expertly handmade in Germany using the finest mohair plush circa 1950-60s. Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. Lion Cub has been gently used but has lost its IDs with time and the mohair plush shows bald spots. This rare little puppet will certainly be a very special addition to your vintage toy collection!
