 Carnelian is a type of chalcedony, which is actually considered a member of the quartz family, and most commonly is found as red, orange, brown, and even pink. It’s very admirable for the fiery translucent colors and patterns it can exhibit. The banded varieties can actually also be considered to include agate as well. 

Carnelian has a stabilizing effect paired with a fiery & motivating energy. Stabilize then power up my friend!
