This size chart indicates the measurements of the coat.

As the chest band is adjustable, the size chart shows the min and max range of the band. The chest size of your dog should not be larger than the max range of the band, but it can fall in between the band range, and it can even fall below the min band size!  You can determine this after considering both chest and back length of your dog.

For example, a pup with a 14.5” chest and a 12” back would wear a size S. However, another pup with the same 14.5” chest but a longer back of 13.5” might consider the size M so that the coat can provide appropriate coverage.
