We are excited to put together our version of the ever popular Nightshift Shawl by Andrea Mowry.  We took her beautiful and easy-to-knit design and made it up in our luxurious DK Yakity Yak yarn.  This creates a very soft and drapeable shawl that you will love wearing as much as you enjoy knitting it up.

The knitting pattern consists of slip stitches where you carry only one color of yarn at a time.  This makes for very easy and fast knitting while creating a fabric that looks much more complicated. 

Although the pattern calls for a worsted weight yarn, we found that by knitting it in our DK Yakity Yak yarn, it creates a very soft and nice drape to the finished shawl.  We used the size 8 needle the pattern called for.  Our shawl, when heavily blocked, was just a couple inches smaller than the pattern's dimensions. 

Each kit contains a printed copy of the pattern with a code to download a PDF copy and six measured skeins of our hand-dyed DK Yakity Yak Yarn in ample amounts to complete the shawl as written.

The DK Yakity Yak is a beautiful 4-ply yarn made of 60% Superwash Merino, 20% Silk, and 20% Yak.  We recommend hand washing in warm water and blocking flat to dry.
