Trusted Brand 1952 Epiphone Zephyr Emperor Regent Bonkers Deal: 90% Off [sm0fEP2F]

Prior to their late '50s acquisition by Gibson, Epiphone were responsible for some of the best arch top guitars of the first part of the 20th century, with their output from the 1930's through to the '50s being cherished by players and collectors alike for their luxurious design, build quality and unparalleled tone. This Trusted Brand 1952 Epiphone Zephyr Emperor Regent Bonkers Deal: 90% Off [sm0fEP2F] is a wonderful example of a New York made Epiphone arch top.

The Zephyr Emperor Regent model was Epiphones top of the line electric arch top, and was a competitor of guitars like the 3 pickup Gibson ES-5 at the time. Constructed from a Spruce top with Maple back and sides, this Zephyr Emperor Regent features the rarer natural finish and a range of other deluxe appointments, including 7 ply top and back binding, 'V' block pearl fingerboard inlay, 'Vine Of Life' pearl headstock inlay and a 7 ply flamed Maple and Walnut neck. The body is fitted with a set of three 'New York' pickups, a unique Epiphone design based around a side wound coil that gives a truly unique tone. The Zephyr Emperor Regent also features a rather unusual six push button pickup selector system, allowing for a range of tonal options and giving the guitar a distinctly mid century look. Other features include all gold plated hardware, including the distinctive 'Frequensator' tailpiece. This guitar also includes its original hard case.

This guitar is in very good condition with barely any signs of play wear to speak of, with the exception of a small amount of binding shrinkage on the wait of the guitar. This guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
