The Viking Wolf Helmet is constructed from 18 gauge steel with brass plate accenting and trim. A butted chainmail aventail is fitted to the back of the helmet and the hinged cheekplates are fitted to the helm with thick and strongly riveted leather hinges. The inside of the face mask is lined with leather for comfort.

An adjustable leather suspension liner is integrated into the blackened helmet. The adjustable chin strap has a brass buckle coupled with a leather strap and chin tab. Two small rings on the inside of the cheek plates can be used to tie the cheekplates into position - a leather band is included for this purpose.
