Do your original LB7 fuel injector lines have rust and corrosion build up where they meet the injector nuts? Are the sealing surfaces showing damage?

 

Replacing the fuel injector lines is highly recommended when changing the LB7 fuel injectors. The original lines can have rust and corrosion build up near the ends of the lines. Or worse, corrosion build up between the nut and line that cannot be seen that can break loose during assembly and fall into the injector inlet. These sources of contamination will cause problems to your new injectors. They can also damage the sealing surfaces which will cause a high pressure fuel leak into the engine oil.
