Spring is an incredibly vibrant time in Tuscany – its green, rolling hills seem to endlessly stretch into the distance as the grapes vines and olive trees ripen underneath a vast sky. Just as I drew near to this lone house – the smell of rain began to fill the air and brooding clouds drifted in. An beautiful mood began to form as the atmosphere gained texture and character. The Cyprus trees stood like guardians at the end of the dirt road – providing that classic Tuscan feel. After waiting patiently for the right light, the moment revealed itself. 

The darkening skies did nothing to hinder my view, but complement this sweeping tract of land. I love the simplicity of this shot – a clear contrast of color and a foreground perfectly carved out by the age-old presence of workers that have been toiling under the Italian sun for centuries.
