Ferodo DS2500 Brake Compound Details:

The Ferodo DS2500 is the best hybrid street and track day pad available. Designed for driving on the street, mountain runs and light track day with a stable average friction coefficient of 0,41 over a wide working temperature range of 32 to 932 F, (0 to 500 C)

Featuring a moderately high initial bite and the solid fade resistance of a trackpad, but with relatively low dust and noise levels of a street pad. When the Ferodo DS2500 is used as a street pad, it can produce some squeal on most vehicle platforms. The most common use of the Ferodo DS2500 is mountain runs, autocross, and some light track duty on street tires in colder temperatures.

When used on track on heavy (3,000+ lbs.+) track cars with high horsepower and R Compound tires, the DS2500 pad wear rates tend to be considerably higher vs. Ferodo Racing's other compounds. Do not expect to win the WRL GTU class on Ferodo DS2500 brake pads, but it is the perfect dual purpose street and light track day pad.
