Sculptures created using pieces of the original floor of Fabrica, with lines etched onto the surface.

These sculptures were made using reclaimed pieces of Fabrica's flagstone floor following repairs in recent years. Brighton based artist Alison McGechie has interpreted the landscape surrounding Brighton, the endless movement and ever changing mood of the sea and the Downs.

The rough untouched planes left to recall the more recent history of the stone as a part of the fabric of the building. The feet that have passed this way and Fabrica, with it's own continuing history.

Alison McGechie is a key part of Fabrica's history, both through contributing art and volunteering.
