28DT06228SL is a 6" x 2" wide wheel swivel caster with a nylon wheel and 4-1/2" x 4'' top plate designed and constructed for highly ergonomic and quiet operation. Featuring a USA-made rig with a sealed-precision-ball-bearing raceway and extended lead, this caster provides effortless mobility and is extremely quiet, providing a safer working environment for your employees. The caster requires no maintenance for life, featuring sealed precision ball bearings in wheel and swivel section (for swivel models). 1/4" steel construction with fully welded legs (welded inside and outside to yoke base) allow these highly ergonomic casters to perform at higher load capacities than traditional casters, even with the extended lead – which helps smoothly and easily align the casters when turning while also reducing unwanted chatter from towed or faster moving equipment. The thick glass-filled nylon DT wheel provides excellent mobility for a range of tough applications, including food processing, tool storage, sanitary maintenance, and equipment requiring easy rolling with heavy loads. This wheel is extremely resistant to water, chemical absorption, steam cleaning, and heat (temp range -20 to 350°F with a 75-80 Shore D hardness). A swivel lock is included to allow for easy steering; simply engage the swivel into one of the four positions to easily turn the swivel caster in a rigid caster (release to turn it right back into a free swiveling caster).
