“I drew from a young age, mostly inspired by cartoons or comic books that I loved. But around the age of 13, I found skateboarding. The act of being an outsider: a rebel that’s edgy and cool all at the same time - I immediately fell in love! But that wasn’t all. The images that adorned the boards, clothing and magazines also blew my mind. And the fact that these were made by the skateboarders themselves only immersed me more: this DIY ethic was something attainable, and I wanted to be that! But also the music and the punk/hip hop influences of the time.. these were all part of the world that began to motivate me. This inspiration and ethos that I learned from skateboarding is still what inspires my work today” ‎
