Distinctive restored pair of 19th century country French provincial Bergere armchairs crafted from walnut. Nearly identical made in a his and hers style with one chair being 1 inch taller on the back and having a larger floral crest on top. The gracefully curved back features an open exposed rear side. The generous seat is fitted with a loose, deep seat cushion and has a serpentine apron.
