The palate is medium-bodied with intense, spicy fruits, a grainy frame and mouthwatering acidity, finishing long and nuanced. Jason Lett says that the Outcrop and The Eyrie Pinot Noirs come from the same clones and elevation and have a similar aspect, but the main difference between the two wines is vine age—the average vine age for the Outcrop is 27 years, while average vine age for The Eyrie Pinot Noir is 47 years.
