Does the 3M adhesive pad have to be used together when installing the car mount?

Under normal circumstances, the car charging mount can be used with removable glue. It is recommended to use the included 3M adhesive pad only when installing on rough areas, cloth or leather surfaces. We do not recommend mounting it on curved or waxed dashboards.

Here are some steps to note before using:

Remove any dust or residual oil that may be found on the pad with alcohol wipes.
Press for 10 seconds and install the car mount after 24 hours.
Place the car mount on a flat surface. Please refer to the "Simple Setup" illustration for detailed installation steps.

Use the suction cup on a smooth, flat and non-deformable surface. For a flat and rough surface, please use the included 3M pad, or it might leave marks.
