Rotor is stepping up their game with Aldhu. It is a crank component system, allowing you to not only customize 1x, or 2x, chainrings, but also utilize super-light one-piece chainring and spider, both in round and Q formats. Here you’ll find the Aldhu 3D+ Crank Arms. Aldhu is short for Alpe d’Huez, which, when you’re climbing it, begs for light components, to minimize your drag, and stiff components, to maximize your power.

Rotor does all their machining tricks here to provide you with superlight crank arms. They work with 7055 aluminum, do their traditional Trinity drilling to hollow out the arms, then CNC the exterior to get to the bare minimum to make the cranks stiff and light.

As mentioned this is a component system. So you also need to purchase a 30mm axle separately, as well as the spider, and then the chainrings. And then the bottom bracket.

In terms of spiders, Rotor has developed both a 110x4 spider as well as spiders that have both the spider and chainrings assembled as one. The latter is available both in round rings and Rotor’s Q-ring style. This component system is particularly advantageous in terms of precisely adjusting the Q-ring shape for maximum utility. The Aldhu system was designed with adjustment in mind. The spider is pushed onto splines on the bottom bracket spindle and then the right crankarm is pushed onto its own set of splines and then secured to the axle. This allows for adjustments of one degree at a time.

The Aldhu 3D+ Crank Arms come in 170, 172.5, and 175mm lengths. They come with fixing bolts that are tightened via 10mm hex-head wrenches.
