This Namiki Chinkin pen was created by maki-e artisan Yasuji in Japan. The pen matches the Emperor size with a large 18k gold nib (#50 size), fills via eyedropper, and comes packaged in a velvet-lined wooden box.

The Chinkin Collection is made up of fountain pens which use "Chinkin (Gold Inlay)", one of lacquerware techniques that Japan boasts to the world on a par with Maki-e.
