Beautiful Cyber Week Deal 19th Century English Neoclassical Jasperware Pitcher By Copeland Slash 70% Off The Price [Ewh7yIOq]/Late Spode, a stunning example of the raised relief pottery made by several English potters including Wedgwood, Dudson and Spode. Made in the 1890's by Copeland, the Spode factory, founded by Josiah Spode was highly respected and known for its quality and distinctive designs. In 1833, W. Copeland and T. Garrett bought the company, and used this mark to show that they were still producing pieces of the same high quality.
Its striking blue ground provides the perfect canvas for delicate white bas-relief ornamentation, a hallmark of Jasperware. Evoking classical elegance, the applied decoration of mythological figures and intricate foliate motifs are rendered with exceptional detail. It is rare to find this with its original removable lid, they are almost always missing.
Whether used to adorn your mantelpiece, grace your dining table, or simply admired for its historical significance, this Copeland Jasperware pitcher is a rare and beautiful find for the discerning collector of antique ceramics.
