Ultimate Pilot 80th Anniversary Shijin Ballpoint/pencil C.1998 - Rare! Gadget [E68xGIgH]

This magnificent vintage writing instrument is from 1998, released as part of the Miyabi collection for the 80th Anniversary.

It is coated in Pilot's black urushi lacquer and features a gold-plated clip and bands. The bottom of the cap is decorated with the shijin (four gods): Shujaku - the red phoenix of the south (summer), Byakko - the white tiger of the west (autumn), Genbu - the black tortoise of the north (winter), and Seiryu, the blue/green dragon of the east (spring).

The internal mechanism rotates between 4 options: black ink, red ink, blue ink, and a 0.5mm pencil. To release, rotate the cap in a clockwise fashion.

The pen is New, yet considered vintage with a production year of 1998.  It is in above excellent condition with no signs of wear and comes complete with original boxes.
