Your art collection is about to grow! The Met and Retro51 are proud to be unveiling the newest officially licensed designs. Two new pencil and pen sets join the collection, one modeled after a Turkish dish depicting two birds among flowering plants, and the other modeled after two of Louis C. Tiffany's stained-glass windows, Hibiscus and Parrots and Dogwood. We’re also introducing the Tudor Armor rollerball inspired by a British treasure in The Met's arms and armor galleries. • Iznik Garden Pen and Pencil Set - MRS-2270 - The Iznik Garden Rollerball and Pencil Set by Retro51 reproduces two stonepaste dishes in The Met collection and originally crafted in the Turkish town of Iznik, which was renowned for its pottery workshops. The floral and bird themes featured on the original plates were pervasive decorative elements on 16th- and 17th-century Iznik creations.
  
  These writing instruments have been carefully recreated with the images silk screened onto the metal barrels of the Tornado twist-top rollerball and 1.15 mm pencil that are finished with polished chrome trim. They are loaded in The Met licensed packaging tube that doubles as a pen stand when it's not in use.
  
  
• Louis C. Tiffany Favrile Parrots & Dogwood - Pen and Pencil Set - These officially licensed writing instruments will bring a colorful light to your writing. They are based on two leaded Favrile windows, Hibiscus and Parrots (ca. 1910–20) and Dogwood (ca. 1902–1915), designed by American designer Louis C. Tiffany (1848-1933) and now in The Met collection.
  
  The light practically shines through the colors printed on top of the metal barrel of each writing instrument and they are finished with polished chrome accents. They are loaded in The Met licensed packaging tube that doubles as a pen stand when it's not in use.
  
  
• Tudor Armor (Rollerball Only) - This regal pen by Retro51 pays tribute to an impressive suit of armor (1586) made in the royal workshops at Greenwich under the direction of master armorer Jacob Halder (British, documented 1558–1608) and now in The Met collection. It was designed for George Clifford, Third Earl of Cumberland and an illustrious Knight of the Garter as of 1592, for field and tournament use.
  
  This rollerball pen replicates the original artisan's decorative craftsmanship with Queen Elizabeth I's family emblem, the Tudor rose, the French fleur-de-lis (then part of the English arms), and two Es back-to-back (Elizabeth's cipher) printed over the brass barrel and complete with polished brass trim. Each pen has been numbered on the top ring and loaded in The Met licensed packaging tube that doubles as a pen stand when it's not in use.
