The air diffuser base allows you to mount air diffuser(s) firmly at the bottom of the pond and keeps the air diffusers up out of the mud. The base is heavy duty rugged plastic with soft edges. The air diffuser base is designed with a hollow base that can be filled with sand or gravel. Choose the number of disc diffusers for your installation needs.

The Matala EPDM disc diffusers are designed for industry heavy duty installation. Precision perforated I-shaped slits open when airflow is present and close when airflow is stopped, which increase the slits resist from tearing, and stay cleaner longer. These diffusers offer the lowest back pressure in the market, only adds less than 6 inches of water depth back pressure, allowing you to utilize your air pump in the most efficient way. All different model types comes with a single 3/4-inch PT female threaded outlet connection.

9 and 12-inch EPDM disc diffuser available. The flow rate will be almost double with the 12-inch diffuser.

The base is heavy duty rugged plastic with soft edges. Fill the base with small gravel and sand and purge of all air bubbles. The base comes with a friendly multi-barb that will allow connection to various sizes of air hose including 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" and 1".

MDB11 - Single Air Base w/ 9-inch disc

Single air base with a 9-inch disc handles airflow handles airflow 0.9 - 4.2 cfm / 25 - 120 lpm. Recommended for 25 lpm - 80 lpm air pumps.

MDB11-12 - Single Air Base w/ 12-inch disc

This utilizes the single air base but incorporates the 12-inch diffuser and handles airflow 2.8 - 7.0 cfm / 80 - 200 lpm. Recommended for 80 lpm to 150 lpm air pumps.

MDB12-12 - Single Air Base w/ (2) 12-inch discs

This utilizes the single air base but incorporates the (2) 12-inch diffusers and handles airflow 5.6 - 14.0 cfm / 160 - 400 lpm. Recommended for 200 lpm to 350 lpm air pumps. This configuration will give a slightly smaller bubble size for a gentler roll at the surface of pond.

MDB12 - Single Air Base w/ (2) 9-inch discs

The MDB12 comes complete with two 9" air discs supported above the base. Includes multi-barb for hose connection. This handles airflow 2.1 - 8.4 cfm / 60 - 240 lpm. Recommended for 100 lpm - 200 lpm air pumps. This configuration will give a slightly smaller bubble size for a gentler roll at the surface of pond.

MDB22 - Dual Air Base w/ 9 inch discs

Double air base handles airflow 2.1 - 8.4 cfm / 60 - 240 lpm. Recommended for 100 lpm - 200 lpm air pumps. This configuration will give a slightly smaller bubble size for a gentler roll at the surface of pond.

MDB22-12 - Dual Air Base w/ (2) 12-inch discs

This uses the double air base with (2) 12-inch discs and handles airflow 5.6 - 14.0 cfm / 160 - 400 lpm. Recommended for 200 lpm to 350 lpm air pumps. This configuration will give a slightly smaller bubble size for a gentler roll at the surface of pond.

MDB24 - Dual Air Base w/ (4) 9-inch discs

Quadruple 9" head (MDB24) handles airflow 4.2 -16.8 cfm / 120 - 480 lpm. Recommended for 150 lpm to 250 lpm air pumps. This configuration will give a slightly smaller bubble size for a gentler roll at the surface of pond.
