With the models of the legendary rail bus VT 98/VS 98 of the German Federal Railways, PIKO offers a vehicle perfectly adapted for use on model railway main and branch lines with many highlights. The illuminated train destination indicators on the side are a real eye-catcher.

The motor car is driven by a powerful micromotor, which is equipped with flywheel masses for perfect running characteristics, and has a factory-installed buffer capacitor for optimal running characteristics without sound interruptions. The motor and driving trailer can be coupled with each other via a current-conducting close-coupling kinematic system. The lighting functions of both cars, including the lamps above the driver"s cabs, can be switched separately.

Despite the design of the motor and driving trailer, a free view through the passenger compartments is possible. The railcar can also be used as a locomotive for hauling individual freight cars. For an optimal sound experience, the railcar has a PIKO sound decoder incl. loudspeaker ex works.
