Bolta Balansa Clover Seed
Introducing the Bolta Balansa Clover Seed, a premium choice for those seeking exceptional pasture legumes. This robust annual clover is designed to thrive during the autumn, winter, and spring seasons, providing a sustainable and nutritious option for your grazing needs.Product Features & Specifications
Boasting a late maturing and hard seeded nature, Bolta is well-suited to medium to high rainfall environments. Its semi-erect growth pattern makes it ideal for mixed swards, though it can remain prostate when grown as a pure sward or grazed. What sets Bolta apart is its superior late-season production, offering excellent herbage production, particularly in spring conditions. Enhanced establishment is achieved with the larger seed size of Bolta, which is 15-20% larger than Paradana, ensuring improved seedling vigor. This variety is also highly digestible, with 14-18% crude protein, making it an exceptional choice for heavy grazing. Bolta can be used on its own or in a pasture mixture with companion species such as sub clovers, grasses, or Lucerne, providing an added benefit as a disease break while fixing nitrogen.Optimal Growing Conditions
For optimal growth, Bolta Balansa Clover Seed requires specific soil, sowing rate, rainfall, pH, and inoculant conditions. It is best suited to medium to heavy soil types, but not suitable for poorly drained alkaline clay soils, deep infertile sands, or soils with a high free lime content. The recommended sowing rate varies depending on whether it is mixed or grown in a pure sward, with dryland and irrigated conditions requiring different rates. For ideal growth, ensure a rainfall of 550mm or more, maintain a pH range of 4.6 to 8.0 (CaCl2), and use a Group C Rhizobium inoculant to maximize nitrogen fixation. What Our Customers Say
