Applications and Preparation

DECORSIL ROMA is ideal for the exterior walls of historical or prestigious buildings, particularly suitable for diffusive and dehumidifying plasters. To prepare the surfaces, ensure they are dry and seasoned. New plasters should cure for at least 30 days to allow complete carbonation. Clean the surface thoroughly to remove any loose parts. For restoration work, eliminate water leaks or water infiltrations. Apply the appropriate fixative, DECORSIL PRIMER or DECORSIL PRIMER PIGMENTATO by OIKOS. After 12 hours, apply two coats of DECORSIL ROMA, diluted with 15% to 20% of potable water, using a brush or roller. Wait 6 hours between coats. For a velvety finish, apply a single coat of VELDECOR by OIKOS followed by a finishing touch with a brush, sponge, or OIKOS glove. DECORSIL ROMA provides coverage of 4 to 5 square meters per liter in two coats, depending on the substrate's absorption.
