The Olympus Delta Window Guard is a Kapton Window exclusively for the Olympus Delta handheld XRF. Made in the USA, this window can withstand harsh environments. While care should be taken while using any window, the window guard is designed to give maximum protection when testing metal chips, sharp ends, or rougher surfaces. If this window does get damaged, simply pull off the old window and stick on a new one. No screws. No hassle. You may also use a Prolene window behind the Window Guard to further protect your analyzer from damage or enable easy switching between heavy and light element analysis.
Note that while light element analysis is not possible through the window guard, you can still confidently identify alloys containing light elements.
