Medallion Penetrating Chain Oil is blended using a food grade base oil called Excelsior.

Most base oils used in industrial lubricants are yellow or amber in color. This “discoloration” is caused by a variety of impurities including traces of sulfur, nitrogen and inferior aromatic oils. Nitrogen promotes oxidation and deposit formation. Aromatics have poor oxidation stability. Excelsior base oils are colorless and free of these materials. Excelsior oil is ideal for use in applications involving food machinery.

Medallion Penetrating Chain Oil can be used as a light sanitary lubricant, penetrating oil or antirust film on equipment and machine parts where there is exposure of the lubricated part to edible products.

Medallion Penetrating Chain Oil acts quickly to free rusted or corroded fasteners. It facilitates easy operation of air-actuated pins and guides. In addition, Medallion Penetrating Chain Oil serves as an excellent antirust film on equipment during idle periods.
