This Barolo comes from the famous cru of the same name in Monteforte, an historic vineyard that is considered one of the very finest. The wine displays fabulous fruit concentration: complex, savoury, herbal, gamey, woody attributes are present, but in the background, behind deliciously appealing fresh red cherry, dried cherry, cranberry, sage, iron, elderberry, new oak and aniseed character.
