Warehouse Clearance Suertes Del Marqués 'vidueño' 2021 And More [5QKFMXZL]: A Taste of Tenerife's Winemaking Renaissance
Suertes del Marqués has been at the forefront of Tenerife's vinous renaissance for the past two decades, producing some of Spain's most exciting wines today. Francisco García Lima, the visionary behind this brand, began his journey in 1986 by acquiring vineyards and selling most of his crop to local domaines. It wasn't until 2006 that he started producing wine commercially, introducing organic and low-interventionist philosophies. With the guidance of his son Jonatan, who took over the 9ha estate in 2016, Suertes del Marqués has solidified its place as a pioneer in Tenerife's fine wine movement.- Expertly crafted by the García Lima family
- Embraces organic and low-intervention winemaking practices
Exceptional Vineyards and Traditional Techniques
Jonatan García Lima farms 9ha of indigenous old-vine varieties, some over 200 years old, on volcanic clay and sand soils in the steep Orotova Valley. This unique appellation experiences cloud cover that moderates temperatures by up to 10°C compared to the rest of the island. The vines are trained using the rare cordón trenzado technique, which involves carefully tying back long vine canes to their roots after pruning. This traditional method, combined with the volcanic terroir, contributes to the exceptional quality of 'Vidueño'.- Indigenous old-vine varieties from over 200 years
