Château La Serre Grand Cru Classé 2020
Château La Serre, a small yet prestigious Grand Cru Classé estate, is nestled in the heart of the UNESCO-listed historical region of Saint Emilion. Owned by Luc d'Arfeuille, this estate of approximately 7 hectares carries a rich heritage, having been purchased by Bernard d'Arfeuille in 1956. The vineyard's unique location, on a prime calcareous plateau, ensures the production of wines of exceptional finesse. Luc d'Arfeuille is dedicated to showcasing the terroir's qualities, continuing a family tradition that has been passed down through generations. In 2013, his nephew Arnaud d'Arfeuille joined the daily management, reinforcing the estate's commitment to quality and sustainability.- Small estate with a rich heritage

Terroir and Winemaking
Château La Serre's vineyard is composed of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, planted on a south-facing slope. The vines, averaging 35 years of age, are regularly renewed to maintain their vigor. Sustainable viticulture practices are employed, with minimal intervention and limited use of insecticides. The grapes undergo an optical sorting process in the cellar, followed by cold maceration to preserve the full expression of the terroir. Vinification takes place in cement and stainless steel vats, with an average aging of 18 months in oak barrels, with 50% renewal each year. The result is a wine that is generous, deep, and characterized by a mineral frame.- South-facing vineyard for optimal sun exposure
- Regular vine renewal for optimal quality
- Sustainable viticulture practices
