After three decades of farming grapes for some of Napa Valley's finest wine producers, Doug Hill and his family decided that they should enter the wine business. Hill Family Estate was born out of the desire for the family to work together - sharing the experience of crafting fine wines that showcased the grapes that Doug farmed and then introducing those wines to the consumer at a tasting room in their hometown, and American foodie capital, Yountville, California.

Their Origin celebrates the family's history in the wine business, and it is a very limited cuvee, and very little made it to North Carolina. Thoughtful farming and a great vintage combined to make this blend of Cab, Merlot, Cab Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot a very attractive wine. Full-bodied, plush, and seamless, this offers up gorgeous and sexy notes of warm blackberry, spiced plum, mint, dark chocolate, and cedar.

It is powerful and worthy of a decade or more in the cellar, but it can totally be enjoyed now too. Just 24 bottles up for grabs.
