The unique Durabel IceFree Mirror was developed to combat extreme weather conditions such as condensation and ice which affect the optical qualities of standard mirrors. The standard Durabel stainless steel mirror is backed by a Thermo-active gel to create the Durabel IceFree which regulates the temperature of the mirror surface, preventing the formation of condensation and ice. The mirror has been designed to work effectively in temperatures as low as -20°C.

The mirror back is formed in impact and UV resistant plastic material which protects the thermoactive layers. The Durabel IceFree has the added advantage over electrically heated mirrors in that it can be installed without having to provide power or in locations that do not have power available.

The mirror is supplied with a hot dip galvanised bracket for fixing to 76mm diameter posts. Further mounting options are available in our traffic mirror accessories section. These include wall brackets, wall posts, wall arms and fork adaptors for fitting two mirrors on one post.

The Durabel IceFree is ideal for use in areas that experience changeable adverse weather conditions, traffic regulation, traffic blind spots, remote locations, production processes, warehouses, manufacturing units, logistics depots, railway stations, airports, etc.
