Stellers Sea Cow Rib Bone pre 1772 bone from the extinct mammal, this is the densest marine mammal bone and is favored by carvers, pistol grip, knife, pen  carvers and hook makers.  Can be filled with CA glue or thin epoxy or stabilized to increase the density even more if desired.  This is a very large dense piece, 27" long, diameter is 3" on one end and  2 1/2" diam. on the other.  This piece has been uncut in modern times but shows signs that it was cut centuries ago by Siberian Yupik on the Island it was found on.  This piece is over 6 1/2 pounds, one of the heaviest and largest pieces we have had in all our years-$385 shipping included
