ARTISAN STORY

Maioliche Originali Deruta (M.O.D.) located in Deruta, Italy was started 65 years ago. Grazia and Ivan run the workshop today, however their father Antonio, in his late 80’s still comes to the workshop and paints daily. M.O.D produce a wide variety of Italian ceramic items, ranging from the classic tableware to vases and special items, to true art. All of these majolica pieces are hand painted and all pieces, except for the tiles and dinner dishes (which must be stamped to be uniform) are hand thrown, by artisans living in Deruta, Italy.
