Ooooo, we are changing it up this year! We have created our own little Mini Made Fabric Store for our Fashion Design students! This year we have the same fun but have added a great twist: Providing a place for the kids to "shop" for their own fabric instead of us choosing for them.

So...It's that time again to get your little fashion designers back in the studio (or for the first time) to make their own unique creations! In this signature three-day sewing camp, they learn the fundamentals of fashion design, sewing techniques, and fashion illustration, and then they will use that knowledge to design and sew their very own fashion!

Day One: We draw, design, fabric shop, and draw some more! Through the use of magazines, everyday objects, nature, and walking through our community, the students will each make a mood board to help them design their fashion collection. After that, we hit the drawing boards, and the kids design a range of items from garments and accessories to doll clothes and pet ensembles. As if that wasn't enough fun, the designers go to our small but mighty fabric shop in our satellite studio to get inspiration and choose their final fabric. 

Days Two & Three: It's sewing time! Each child will learn the basics for safely using the sewing machines and equipment. We will then jump into sewing one or two of the items the child designed on Day One. Every child will get to make one of their own unique designs.

We can't express how much fun it is to design your own outfit! This three-day camp can be taken over and over again. As long as they have the imagination, we can help them bring it to life! Children do not need prior sewing experience.

Supplies to bring for sewing:

• All materials are provided for this class.

Please also bring:

• Lunch, two snacks, and a water bottle.
  

Class Level: This class is for Beginner Kid Sewists ages 7 and up. No previous experience is required.

Cancellation Policy: No refunds are offered for classes or camps. If you cancel at least 72 hours before class begins, we can apply the class fees to another class/camp. Cancellations received less than 72 hours before class begins, or no-shows, forfeit their class fees. We are unable guarantee the same class or session will be available for rescheduling. Arriving more than 30 minutes late for class may also be a forfeit of class fees. Please call. Inclement weather, as well as school and government mandated closures, have the same cancellation policy.
